In response to these claims, the journalist took to Twitter to assert, “I have no connection with this scandal at all. I respect Babar Azam a lot, and I believe he is on the path to greatness. I only criticize him when he makes unsound decisions as a captain, and when he performs well, I praise him. I reiterate that I have nothing to do with this scandal and ask that I not be connected to it.”

This is not the first instance of controversy surrounding the Pakistani captain. Previously, a woman named Hamiza Mukhtar accused Babar Azam of sexual abuse, harassment, and blackmail. However, following an investigation, Mukhtar retracted all her allegations, admitting that she had made false claims.
